“I recently completed my first journey as a surrogate with Creative Family Connections and I am so glad, after researching many agencies, I chose CFC. All of the staff at CFC are amazing, caring, and professional. They guided me through the entire experience and made it stress-free and positive. Best of all, I adore the couple I was matched with and they have become part of my extended family. If you are considering surrogacy, I would absolutely recommend CFC.”
“I have officially completed my journey as a surrogate with CFC .My coordinator and the rest of the team members ,were very attentive and supportive in every step of the way. I would highly recommend CFC to both intended parents and surrogates . It was such a great experience to have a helping hand at bringing a family together.”
“We have now completed two journeys with CFC and have two wonderful children, 27 months and 2 months old. CFC was the right choice for us: always responsive, very organized and clear, and highly supportive when we faced difficult situations. They told us at the start that their goal is that the first surrogate candidate they introduce us to is the one we will match with, and in their experience this is what happens 99% of the time, because they are so careful about who they introduce. And this is what happened. 5 minutes into the first Zoom with the potential surrogate, my partner and I exchanged a knowing look — this was the person. To be clear, they are slow and expensive. We signed with CFC for our first journey in July 2020, matched with the surrogate in Feburary 2021, signed with the surrogate in June 2021, and our first child was born in April 2022. For the second journey, the same surrogate agreed she would be our surrogate again in January 2023 and we signed a new contract with CFC in February 2023. The surrogacy agreement was signed in June 2023 and our second child was born in May 2024. But their slow pace can be a feature, not a bug, if caution, diligence and precision are what you are looking for, like we were. In vetting 5+ agencies in extended interviews before our first journey I focused on their surrogate screening processes and on their case management processes, and the others didn’t compare. I think it’s a company culture thing, as the founder is a lawyer. At work, I go by the 80-20 rule (aka 80% of the outcomes are determined by 20% of the actions), so good enough is good enough most of the time. In a surrogacy journey, I feel like it’s more like 10-90 (aka 10% of the outcomes are determined by 90% of the actions) — which is to say the majority of things are not controllable. So doing everything right that you can possibly do right is important. If that doesn’t sound like you, that’s totally great too. We have very good friends who went with a different agency that felt a lot more “fly by the seat of their pants,” and also ended up with two children wonderful and healthy in every way. Great. Just not how we function. So be clear on what is important to you, how you think about planning and risk, and choose accordingly.”
“Creative Family Connections has been part of our family for 8 years now. I began my first surrogacy journey with them in 2016. Now I am the very happy dad of two with a third journey on the horizon. The amazing team at CFC has traveled through all of this hand-in-hand with me. It is hard for me to find the right words to share how incredibly appreciative I am for their expertise, experience, and partnership. Creating a family through surrogacy is a complex journey. There are many players to coordinate and many activities to manage. There are so many emotions that are part of the journey. You will find it important to pick a great organization to lead you through and prepare you for what is to come. I am glad I chose CFC to partner with me. They have provided such great support, reassurance, and creativity through both of my journeys. I encountered a number of somewhat unique challenges especially with baby #2. If there was something interesting that could pop-up it did. I would have been lost without the calm guidance of the CFC experts. They offered helpful insights, creative solutions, and always listened when I needed to share my frustrations or concerns. One of the true strengths of Creative Family Connections is their ability to support you through the entire journey. They recruit excellent surrogates and do a great job matching you with the right one for your journey. The Legal team is excellent and always a step ahead in terms of having you well prepared for what is coming. You will have a clear understanding of your expenses ahead of time and then work with a great third party provider to manage the process of clearing each item that needs to be paid. They have relationships with the top fertility providers and help you find one that works well for you. This is one of the most important aspects of your journey. They also have great legal contacts around the country who can assist with any local requirements on the legal front. In the end, you do not have to figure out anything on your own. You will always have excellent input and recommendations though the decisions will always be yours to make. Through both of my journeys all of the key players changed for various reasons. That happens normally as time passes and circumstances change. I ended up with different surrogates, different fertility clinics, and different locations for the births of both children. The one thing that remained constant was the team I worked with at Creative Family Connections. That made all the changes manageable as I still had a team of people who had worked with me for several years. Today when I reach out they know who I am, what my journeys were like, and what is coming up for me. They know who my kids are and what is going now with them. It has truly been a fantastic experience. I recommend without hesitation that anyone looking into a surrogacy journey reach out and get to know the team at Creative Family Connections. I know you will want to invite them into your family just as I did 8 years ago.”
“Finished my first journey and starting my second. CFC’s team are amazing at connecting you with a loving family to carry a baby form. Their communication and availability for questions is top notch. Had an amazing experience first journey and excited to start my second with them.”
“Fantastic experience with all of the CFC team. We are happy parents that went on a journey with CFC and it could not have gone better. They had our backs all the way and made the process much more manageable and enjoyable. We could not recommend them enough”
“As a first-time surrogate, I researched a dozen agencies before coming across CFC. The majority of agencies in my home city were incredibly hyper-focused on their own financial wellness, which made me feel more like a “number” than a real person trying to help another family. During my initial interview with Nica, I was immediately reassured that CFC was the perfect agency to work with as their values of inclusion and diversity aligned with my own personal values and beliefs. My Journey Coordinator, Jaclyn, was by far the most amazing human being through and through. As a two-time gestational carrier herself, she was responsive when I had questions or concerns, super informative when I needed additional resources and also became somewhat like a second mom to me when I was struggling during the postpartum period. I still have her personal cellphone number and she checks on me from time to time even though she isn’t with CFC any longer. Absolute god sent! My IPs were just as, if not more, amazing! I was able to build lifelong friendships with the most deserving couple I have ever met. I am very fortunate to have been chosen by them with the most valuable and precious thing in life, their soon-to-be (now 3 months old) baby boy. Even with my complaints of morning sickness (more like all-day sickness), body aches, and constant food aversions, my IPs were super supportive and wanted to be part of the process every step of the way which I tried my absolute best to make them feel they we were all in this together; it was OUR pregnancy, and MY experience was also THEIRS. I only really have two complaints which stem from delivery and postpartum. (1) Due to our pre-eclampsia diagnosis, my OB scheduled us for an early induction at 38 weeks. While the staff at our designated hospital were mostly amazing, there was one thing that completely annoyed both me and the parents. Even after providing the hospital staff with our birth plan, noting that I was a GC, practically EVERY nurse kept referring to me as “Mom” which was extremely frustrating to have to keep correcting them. Our induction/birth was 48 hours long, so you can only imagine how many nurses and hospital staff we encountered! To no fault of CFC, more communication, however, to the charge nurses should occur to avoid this from happening with future GCs. (2) My case manager, Jaclyn, resigned from CFC shortly after I gave birth. Even though she kept in constant contact, CFC reassigned me to someone else for the postpartum period and it went practically radio silent. My IPs had to reach out to them in order to get me crucial PP support. Which was great after they did, but at the time with my hormones raging I felt as though I didn’t matter to them anymore and my job for my IPs was essentially “done”. I spoke about it to Robin, and she assured me it was an anomaly, but still inexcusable and I greatly appreciated her for hearing me out. If you’re considering CFC for your first or next journey as a gestational carrier, take this as your sign to do it! I am now 3 months PP and even though I told myself this journey would be my last pregnancy in life, with honesty and clarity I can state that I would do it 1,000,000% do it again as long as I’m with CFC and physically cleared and able! Thank you 100x for everything! <3”
